대전 중구가 구청 문자메시지에 공식 마크와 기관명을 표기해 발신처를 명확히 보여주는 '안심마크서비스(RCS)'를 도입한다. 스미싱(문자 사기) 우려로 중요한 구정 안내를 놓치는 불편을 해소하고 행정 신뢰를 높이는 데 목적이 있다.
기존에는 구청 문자에 전화번호만 표시돼 구민들이 사기 문자로 오인하고 확인을 꺼리는 사례가 잦았다. RCS(Rich Communication Services)는 대전 중구 심벌마크와 '대전 중구'라는 명칭을 함께 보여 공공기관임을 즉시 인증한다.
이번 서비스는 구정 안내와 민원 처리 관련 문자에 적용된다. 구민들은 이제 번호만 보고 의심하지 않고 안심하고 열어볼 수 있게 됐다. 스미싱 피해 예방과 소통 효율성 제고라는 두 마리 토끼를 잡는 셈이다.
김제선 중구청장은 "구청 문자를 누구나 안심하고 확인할 수 있는 환경을 만들겠다"며 "구민과의 소통을 한층 강화하겠다"고 밝혔다.
