브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 정부가 중동 정세 불안에 따른 유가 상승 움직임에 대응해 전국 주유소에 대한 현장 점검에 나선다.
구윤철 부총리 겸 재정경제부 장관은 6일 오전 국회에서 열린 중동 상황 대응 관련 실무 당정협의에서 "오늘부터 정부 합동반이 주유소를 직접 방문해 폭리를 취하는 주유소를 전면 점검한다"고 밝혔다.
구 부총리는 "정부는 폭리와 매점매석 등 시장 상황을 포함해 지속적으로 모니터링하고 있다"며 "법 위반이 발생할 경우 무관용 원칙으로 대응해 국가적 위기 상황을 악용한 폭리 행위를 절대 용납하지 않겠다"고 강조했다.
정부는 필요할 경우 유종별·지역별 최고가격 지정까지 검토하고 있다. 구 부총리는 "시장 조사를 통해 지속적으로 폭리를 취하는 문제가 확인될 경우 공정거래위원회까지 포함해 대응하고 있다"고 설명했다.
에너지 수급과 관련해서는 현재 국내 비축량이 208일분 이상 확보된 상태라고 밝혔다. 구 부총리는 "중장기적으로는 대체 수입선 다변화 등 추가 대책도 마련하고 있다"고 말했다.

중동 지역 교민과 체류자 안전 관리도 강화하고 있다. 구 부총리는 "현지 근로자와 선원까지 모두 파악해 연락처를 확보한 상태"라며 "필요할 경우 하선 조치도 할 수 있도록 준비하고 있다"고 말했다.
이어 "외교부는 여행객들이 체류 중인 지역이나 아랍에미리트(UAE) 공항 등 교통이 두절된 지역에서 언제든 전용기를 투입할 수 있도록 협의하고 있다"고 설명했다.
정부는 중동 상황 발생 직후부터 범정부 대응 체계를 가동하고 있다. 구 부총리는 "총리가 매일 회의를 주재하며 외교와 경제 등 전반적인 상황을 점검하고 있다"며 "경제 분야는 실물반, 금융반, 에너지반 등 3개 반을 구성해 24시간 모니터링 체계를 운영 중"이라고 밝혔다.
