대전시가 봄 행락철을 앞두고 전세버스 이용 증가에 대비해 대규모 안전점검에 나선다. 시민들이 안심하고 전세버스를 이용할 수 있도록 ‘사고 예방형 점검체계’를 강화하겠다는 방침이다.
대전시는 한국교통안전공단과 대전전세버스운송사업조합과 함께 합동점검반을 구성해 오는 9일부터 26일까지 전세버스 725대에 대한 전수 점검을 실시한다. 점검 장소는 대전월드컵경기장 주차장으로, 관내 33개 운수업체 소속 차량이 모두 대상이다.
점검 항목은 운행기록계, 속도제한장치, 차로이탈경고장치, 영상기록장치 등 주요 안전설비 작동 상태를 비롯해 불법 구조변경, 등화장치 적정 여부, 소화기 및 비상망치 비치 여부 등 차량 전반의 안전관리 실태를 포함한다.
특히 어린이 통학버스는 신고필증과 안전교육 이수 여부, 하차 확인장치(하차벨) 작동 상태 등 법정 안전요건을 중점적으로 살필 예정이다. 점검 결과 경미한 위반 사항은 즉시 현장 시정 조치하고, 중대한 위반 차량은 행정지도 및 개선명령을 내릴 계획이다.
한편, 대전시는 지난해 전세버스 일제 점검을 통해 상호 미표기(23건), 등화장치 불량(22건), 지정부착물 미부착(22건), 영상기록장치 불량(12건), 차로이탈방지장치 이상(5건) 등을 적발해 모두 시정 완료한 바 있다.
