충남 계룡시가 시민의 평생학습, 여가, 가족 돌봄 기능을 아우르는 복합문화공간을 완성했다. 시는 6일 ‘계룡복합문화센터’ 개관식을 열고 본격 운영에 들어갔다.
이날 개관식에는 기관단체장과 시민 등 150여 명이 참석해 그간의 추진 경과를 공유하고, 식전에는 평생학습동아리 공연이 열려 시민들의 참여와 축하가 어우러진 따뜻한 개관 분위기를 연출했다.
엄사면 번영5길 14에 자리한 계룡복합문화센터는 지하 1층·지상 4층 규모(연면적 7,935㎡)로, 2021년 착공 이후 총 291억4천만 원이 투입됐다.
센터 내부에는 평생교육 프로그램을 운영할 평생학습관과 가족서비스의 허브 역할을 맡을 가족센터를 비롯해 드림스타트센터, 공동육아나눔터, 장난감도서관 등이 함께 마련됐다. 152면 규모의 주차장도 갖춰 시민 이용 편의성을 높였다.
계룡시는 이번 복합문화센터가 세대 간 교류와 돌봄, 배움, 여가를 하나로 묶는 거점공간으로 자리 잡을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
