대전시의회 조원휘 의장이 어르신들의 활기찬 사회활동을 독려하며 노인일자리 사업의 성공적인 추진을 당부했다. 유성구노인복지관에서 열린 발대식에서 의회 차원의 지속 지원을 약속하며 지역 복지 확대 의지를 밝혔다.
조원휘 의장은 6일 유성구노인복지관·한국노인의전화 노인일자리 발대식에 참석해 어르신들의 적극적인 사회참여를 격려했다. 행사에는 유성구청 관계자와 유관기관 관계자 등이 함께하며, 대면 120명과 유튜브 비대면 500명 등 총 620여 명의 어르신이 참여해 분위기를 뜨겁게 달궜다.
조 의장은 축사에서 “어르신들의 지역사회 역할은 개인의 삶의 질 향상은 물론 공동체를 더욱 건강하게 만드는 소중한 일”이라고 강조했다.
그는 “이번 노인일자리 사업은 단순한 일자리 제공을 넘어 어르신들의 자존감과 사회적 참여를 북돋는 정책으로 자리매김하고 있다”며 “대전시의회도 이에 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 약속했다.
이번 사업은 유성구노인복지관 557명, 한국노인의전화 대전지회 220명 등 총 777명이 참여하는 대규모 프로젝트다. 총 43억7천만 원 예산으로 공익활동형, 역량활용형 등 다양한 일자리를 운영하며 어르신들의 사회적 역할 확대를 지원한다.
