청양군, 청년 4-H ‘찾아가는 영농부산물 지원단’ 출동

충남 청양군이 청년 4-H 멤버로 구성된 ‘파쇄 지원단’을 투입해 영농부산물 소각을 막고 자원 순환을 돕는 사업을 9일부터 본격 가동한다고 9일 밝혔다.

청양군농업기술센터(소장 류원균)는 봄철 논·밭두렁 소각 연기를 자원 순환으로 바꾸기 위해 ‘찾아가는 영농부산물 안전처리 지원사업’ 집중 운영에 들어갔다.

청양군4-H연합회(대표 최명길) 청년 9명이 ‘파쇄 지원단’으로 마을 순회하며 고령 농가 부산물을 직접 처리, 산불 예방과 미세먼지 저감을 실현한다.

지난해 지원단(8명)은 80개소 22.1ha 부산물을 파쇄하며 뜨거운 호응을 얻었고, 올해 상반기(3월)·하반기(11~12월) 마을 수요 조사 후 순차 진행된다.

농촌 고령화로 소각에 의존하던 어르신들에게 청년 지원단은 노동력 절감과 불법 소각 벌금(최대 3천만 원) 걱정을 덜어주는 든든한 도우미다.

파쇄 부산물은 퇴비화·토양 환원으로 지력 향상, 병해충 저감, 염소 사료 활용 등 자원 순환 효과를 내며 산림연접지(100m 이내)·고령층 우선 지원한다.
