【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군에 지역 취약계층을 돕기 위한 따뜻한 나눔이 이어지고 있다.
소방 전문기업 씨더블유소방산업은 9일 진천군청을 방문해 화재 취약계층의 안전한 주거환경 조성을 위해 소화기 60대를 기탁했다.
이번 기탁은 홀몸 어르신과 저소득 가정 등 화재 사고에 취약한 계층의 인명·재산 피해를 예방하고 초기 대응 능력을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
기탁된 소화기는 제트분사 노즐 기술을 적용해 특허를 받은 제품으로, 화재 발생 시 초기 진압에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
김진영 씨더블유소방산업 대표는 “화재는 예방도 중요하지만 발생 직후의 초기 진압이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “안전 사각지대에 놓인 이웃들이 조금 더 안심하고 생활할 수 있기를 바라는 마음으로 기부를 결정했다”고 말했다.
전달된 소화기 60대는 군과 관계기관을 통해 화재 초기 대응 시설이 부족한 가구에 우선 배분될 예정이다.

같은 날 국제라이온스협회 356-D지구 9(진천)지역도 지역 취약계층을 위한 라면 100박스와 화장지 200세트를 기탁했다.
이번 기부는 최근 고물가와 경기 침체로 어려움을 겪는 취약계층의 생활 부담을 덜어주기 위해 9지역 소속 회원들의 자발적인 참여로 마련됐다.
손용주 국제라이온스협회 356-D지구 부총재는 “작은 정성이지만 어려운 이웃들에게 희망이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 라이온스의 정신인 ‘우리는 봉사한다(We Serve)’를 실천하며 지속적인 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
기탁된 물품은 각 읍·면 행정복지센터를 통해 홀몸 어르신과 저소득 가정 등 도움이 필요한 가구에 전달될 예정이다.
