세종특별자치시가 하나금융그룹과 손잡고 지역 소비 촉진과 소상공인 지원을 위한 새로운 형태의 ‘세종사랑카드’를 올해 안에 선보인다.
이를 위해 세종시는 9일 시청 세종실에서 ㈜하나은행, 하나카드㈜, 하나캐피탈㈜과 ‘세종사랑카드 기반 금융 혜택 제공 및 지역경제 활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 지역화폐를 넘어 금융 혜택과 지역 상생 기능을 결합한 시민 맞춤형 플랫폼으로 발전시키는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다. 카드 이용실적과 연계해 조성되는 재원을 지역경제 회복 및 소상공인 지원사업으로 환원함으로써 경제 선순환 구조를 구축한다는 구상이다.
협약 기관들은 앞으로 세종시민 대상 맞춤형 카드 혜택 마련 ,카드 사용액 및 금융상품 운용성과에 따른 기금 조성 ,조성된 재원으로 지역 소상공인 지원 ,공동 협력사업 발굴과 시민 복지 향상 등에 협력하기로 했다.
특히 카드 사용액의 0.1%와 지정 통장의 연평잔 0.1%를 지역경제 지원기금으로 적립하는 구조가 주목된다. 금융 이용이 곧 지역 지원으로 이어지는 ‘착한 소비’ 모델을 제도적으로 실현한다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

최민호 시장은 “이번 협약은 지역경제와 시민 생활을 하나로 잇는 새로운 민관 협력의 시작”이라며 “금융과 행정이 함께하는 상생 모델로 세종형 지역경제 활성화를 이끌겠다”고 말했다.
그는 이어 “세종사랑카드가 시민과 소상공인이 함께 혜택을 누리는 지역경제의 상징이 되길 기대한다”고 덧붙였다.
