이 예비후보는 단종의 시신을 수습한 충신으로 알려진 엄흥도의 후손들이 화를 피해 전국을 떠돌다 문경에 정착한 역사적 배경을 언급하며 문경과 영화 속 역사 이야기의 연관성을 설명했다. 현재 문경시 산양면 위만1리(옛 우마이마을)에는 약 70여 가구 규모의 집성촌이 형성돼 있다.

또 안동에는 백신·바이오 산업을 육성하고 도청 소재지 일대를 경제자유구역으로 지정하는 방안을 추진하겠다고 밝혔다. 고령에는 푸드테크클러스터를 조성해 새로운 지역 성장 동력을 확보하겠다는 구상도 내놨다.
