[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 매년 3~4월경이면 전국에서 하동 십리벚꽃길의 벚꽃 개화 시기를 묻는 문의가 쇄도하고 있다.
이에 하동군이 홈페이지를 통해 화개면 일대의 실시간 벚꽃 개화 상황을 확인할 수 있게 했다.
하동군은 10일부터 4월 6일까지 벚꽃이 만개하는 모습을 지역민과 관광객에게 공유하기 위한 실시간 모니터링 서비스를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
군은 2018년부터 실시간 개화 서비스를 도입해 관광객의 불편을 해소하는 동시에 더욱 생동감 넘치는 벚꽃의 모습을 제공하고 있다.
벚꽃 개화 서비스를 위해 화개장터와 십리벚꽃길 등 3곳에 사물인터넷 기술을 활용한 시스템이 구축되어 있다.
이는 컴퓨터는 물론 모바일 기기에서도 개화 상황을 실시간으로 확인할 수 있어, 관광객들의 편의를 크게 높였다.
벚꽃 개화 실시간 서비스는 군청 홈페이지 메인 화면에서 확인할 수 있으며 개화 상황뿐만 아니라 화개면 일원의 주차장과 화장실 위치 정보도 함께 제공된다.
특히 벚꽃이 꽃망울을 터트리는 시기에는 근접 화면으로 개화를 확인할 수 있고 꽃이 피는 시기를 고려해 맞춤형 원거리 서비스도 시행한다.
