【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군은 해마다 30만 명 이상이 찾는 후포면 등기산 일원의 경관을 개선하고 지역 관광 활성화를 도모하기 위해 ‘후포 등기산 주변 지붕색채 경관사업’을 추진해 오는 4월 중 완료할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 관광지와 인접한 후포4리 뱀골마을 주택 42동의 지붕을 새롭게 단장하는 프로젝트로, 마을 전경을 하나의 관광 콘텐츠로 조성하는 데 목적이 있다.
군은 앞서 지난해 말 등기산 주변 노후 옹벽에 대한 필름지 교체와 세척, 도색 작업을 완료해 마을 입구 환경을 정비했으며, 이어 지붕 색채 작업에 착수해 마을 경관의 완성도를 높이고 있다.
특히 이번 사업에는 마을 지붕을 하나의 캔버스처럼 활용하는 ‘슈퍼그래픽(Super Graphic)’ 기법이 도입된다. 등기산 출렁다리에서 내려다봤을 때 후포를 상징하는 거대한 ‘게’ 형상이 입체적으로 보이도록 디자인해 관광객들에게 새로운 볼거리를 제공할 계획이다.
사업의 완성도를 높이기 위해 미술 전공 공공디자인 전문 인력이 레이저 빔 프로젝터를 활용해 스케치와 조색 작업을 진행하고 있으며, 변색에 강하고 유지 관리가 용이한 아크릴 우레탄 페인트를 사용해 색채를 오래 유지하도록 했다. 또한 페인팅에 앞서 슬라브 지붕 보수와 방수 작업을 병행해 주민들의 주거 환경 개선에도 도움이 될 전망이다.
울진군은 이번 경관 정비를 통해 마을 전경에 독특한 경관 요소를 더해 관광객들에게 색다른 즐거움을 제공하고, 뱀골마을만의 정체성을 강화하는 동시에 지역을 대표하는 관광 랜드마크로 발전시킨다는 계획이다.
울진군 관계자는 “등기산 출렁다리를 찾는 관광객들이 내려다보는 마을 전경에 새로운 볼거리를 제공하기 위해 이번 사업을 추진했다”며 “후포만의 상징성과 이야기를 담은 경관 조성을 통해 지역 관광에 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

The use of acrylic urethane paint, which is resistant to fading and easy to maintain, ensures long-lasting color. Furthermore, prior to painting, slab roof repairs and waterproofing will be carried out simultaneously, improving the living environment for residents.
Uljin County plans to use this landscape improvement project to add unique elements to the village landscape, providing a unique experience for tourists. This will reinforce the unique identity of Baemgol Village and develop it into a representative tourist landmark.
An Uljin County official stated, "We initiated this project to provide a new attraction for tourists visiting the Deunggisan Suspension Bridge. We anticipate that this landscape, which embodies Hupo's unique symbolism and story, will revitalize local tourism."
