특히, 미국의 관세 정책과 유럽연합의 탄소 규제 강화로 기업 부담이 증가할 것으로 예상됨에 따라 인천 지역 중소·중견기업이 통상 환경 변화에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있도록 실질적인 정보를 제공하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
설명회에서는 유럽연합의 탄소국경조정제도 대응 방안과 미국 관세 정책 변화에 따른 대응 전략 등이 소개됐다.
유럽연합의 탄소국경조정제도는 철강, 알루미늄 등 6개 품목을 유럽연합으로 수출하는 기업에 대해 탄소 배출량 보고와 탄소국경조정 인증서 구매를 의무화하는 제도로, 향후 기업의 비용 부담 증가가 예상된다.
