이재명 대통령이 15일 “중동 정세로 고립돼 있던 국민 204명이 군 수송기를 통해 무사히 귀국했다”고 전했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 엑스(X·옛 트위터)에 이같이 적은 후 “어려운 여건 속에서도 작전 성공을 위해 밤낮없이 애써주신 모든 관계자 여러분께 감사드린다”고 했다.
그러면서 “외교·국방부·합동참모본부·공군과 주사우디아라비아·바레인·쿠웨이트·레바논 대사관 등 현지 공관은 물론 정부 합동 신속대응팀·경찰청까지 힘 모았다”며 “범정부 차원 원팀 협력으로 이뤄낸 의미 있는 성과”라고 덧붙였다.
