안 예비후보는 지난 15일 포항스틸야드에서 열린 포항 스틸러스 홈 개막전을 찾아 아내와 함께 경기를 관람했다. 그는 붉은 유니폼과 머플러로 가득 찬 관중석에서 시민들과 함께 응원을 보내며 경기 분위기를 함께했다.

안 예비후보는 “생전에 선배님께서 늘 자랑하시던 아드님을 경기장에서 다시 만나 감회가 새로웠다”며 “훌륭하게 성장한 모습을 보니 마음이 놓였고 순간 가슴이 뭉클했다”고 소회를 밝혔다.
