[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 정부의 공공기관 2차 이전을 앞두고 ‘국가 전략산업의 완성’을 목표로 본격적인 유치전에 돌입했다.
경남도는 16일 창원컨벤션센터(CECO)에서 정치·산업·학계 등을 망라한 민관 협력 플랫폼인 ‘공공기관 2차 이전 범도민 유치위원회’ 출범식을 개최하고, 330만 도민의 염원을 담은 컨트롤타워를 공식 가동했다.
경남도는 이날 ‘공공기관 2차 이전 유치발전 전략 구상’도 함께 제시했다. 도는 지역특화산업의 고도화와 1차 이전 공공기관과의 시너지 효과 창출을 두 축으로, ▲주력산업 혁신을 통한 중소기업 진흥, ▲산업혁신(피지컬 AI) 클러스터 구축, ▲친환경 건설기술 경쟁력 강화, ▲글로벌 문화관광으로의 도약 등 4대 발전 전략을 통해 경남을 국가 균형발전의 실증 거점으로 육성한다는 계획이다.
경남의 산업 구조와 연계된 ‘5개 핵심 유치 기관’을 선정해 유치 활동에 나선다. 대상 기관은 ▲전국 1위 제조 중소기업 집적지를 지원할 중소기업은행, ▲방산·원전·우주항공 연구개발(R&D) 허브 지원 및 피지컬 인공지능(AI) 핵심거점 구축을 지원할 한국산업기술진흥원(KIAT), ▲글로벌 물류 거점 역할을 강화할 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA), ▲친환경 개발 및 환경기술 실증을 이끌 한국환경공단, ▲지역 레저관광 산업과 시너지를 낼 한국마사회 등이다.
