 조례안이 원안대로 의결될 경우, 사업부서 및 보조단체는 자부담금을 제외한 소요 예산이 3천만 원 이상인 행사에 대해 총사업비와 재원별 규모 등을 최소 1종 이상의 홍보물에 의무적으로 표기해야 한다.

 이경리 의원은 “제천시에서 개최되는 행사가 계속 증가하고 있는 상황에서 이번 조례 제정을 통해 예산이 어디에, 얼마나 사용되는지 시민들이 보다 쉽게 확인할 수 있는 제도가 정착되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

 「제천시 행사예산 공개에 관한 조례안」은 4월 2일까지 20일간 입법예고 기간을 거친 뒤 오는 4월 15일 열리는 제356회 임시회에 상정될 예정이다.
