【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자= 충북 진천군은 초평면 용정리 생곡마을을 치매 안심마을로 지정했다고 16일 밝혔다.
군은 2017년 △문백면 옥성리 옥산마을을 시작으로 △광혜원면 광혜원리 중리 △백곡면 석현리 지곡 △이월면 중산리 도산 △진천읍 사석리 여사마을 △초평면 용정리 생곡마을까지 총 6개 마을을 군 치매 안심마을로 운영하고 있다.
치매 안심마을은 치매 환자와 가족뿐 아니라 모두가 치매에 대한 두려움 없이 안전하게 살아갈 수 있도록 치매 친화적 마을을 조성하는 사업이다.
치매 안심마을 지정은 △노인 인구수 △치매안심센터 접근성 △주민 요구도와 적극성 △사업 확산 가능성 △자원 투입 다양성 △치매 환자 수 등 6가지 세부 기준을 종합적으로 평가해 지정한다.
치매 안심마을로 지정되면 찾아가는 치매 조기 검진, 치매 예방 교육, 안전 꾸러미 배부, 치매 인식 개선 뮤지컬 관람 등 다양한 프로그램이 운영된다.
특히, 마을 내 치매 환자가 발생할 시 치매 통합 관리 서비스를 즉각 연계해 치매 치료 관리비 지원, 조호물품 제공, 치매 환자 돌봄 재활 서비스 등 빈틈없는 지원 체계를 운영한다.
신희상 군 건강증진과 주무관은 “치매 안심마을은 어르신들이 치매에 대한 두려움 없이 정든 마을에서 행복한 노후를 보내실 수 있도록 촘촘한 안전망을 구축하는 것이 최우선 목표”라며 “앞으로도 지역 주민 모두가 치매 환자를 따뜻하게 보듬는 진천군을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
