<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시가 집단 감염에 취약한 고령자들이 밀집해 있는 요양병원 및 요양시설을 대상으로 선제적인 감염병 차단망 구축에 나섰다.
포천시보건소는 관내 요양병원 3곳과 요양원 8곳 등 총 11개 감염취약시설 종사자 160여 명을 대상으로 강도 높은 현장 밀착형 감염병 예방 교육을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 집단생활이라는 요양시설 특성상 단 한 명의 감염자 발생만으로도 걷잡을 수 없는 대규모 연쇄 감염으로 이어질 수 있다는 위기의식에서 출발했다. 이에 시는 고령 입소자들의 생명과 직결되는 철저한 감염 관리 역량을 끌어올리는 데 행정력을 집중하고 있다.
교육의 핵심 타깃은 '손 위생'과 '다제내성균' 대응이다. 감염 차단의 제1 방어선인 올바른 손 씻기와 손 소독제 활용법 등 실무적인 위생 수칙을 재점검한다. 이와 함께 일반 항생제조차 듣지 않아 치명적인 다제내성균의 전파 경로를 분석하고, 시설 내 확산을 원천 봉쇄하기 위한 현장 대응 매뉴얼을 집중적으로 전수한다.
