대전 유성구가 16일 갑천2 트리풀시티 엘리프 아파트 단지 내에 ‘다함께돌봄센터 유성아이 11호점’을 새롭게 열고 개소식을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이날 개소식에는 수탁법인 관계자와 학부모 등 30여 명이 참석해 돌봄센터의 본격 운영을 축하했다.
‘유성아이 11호점’은 방과 후 돌봄이 필요한 초등학생을 위해 마련된 공공 돌봄 시설로, 정원 25명 규모로 운영된다.
숙제 지도 및 독서, 놀이 활동을 비롯해 문화·예술·체육 프로그램도 함께 제공해 아이들의 건강한 성장과 정서 발달을 돕는 데 힘쓸 계획이다.
정용래 유성구청장은 “맞벌이 가구 비율이 높은 유성구의 현실을 감안할 때 아이들이 안전하게 성장할 수 있는 돌봄 시설 확충은 매우 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 부모들이 안심하고 아이를 맡길 수 있도록 돌봄 인프라를 더욱 확대하겠다”고 말했다.
