선린대, 외국인 유학생 감염병 예방 협력체계 구축

【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교 국제교류교육센터는 3월 12일 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스에서 RISE 사업의 일환으로 경상북도 감염병관리지원단과 외국인 유학생의 감염병 예방 및 안전한 유학 환경 조성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 외국인 유학생의 안전한 유학 생활을 지원하고 감염병 예방·관리 체계를 구축하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 세 기관은 △감염병 예방·관리를 위한 교육 및 홍보 △감염병 예방 관련 자료 공동 제작 및 상호 공유 △안전한 외국인 유학생을 위한 자료·정보 공동 활용 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하기로 했다.

이관 경상북도 감염병관리지원단 단장은 “전국 단위 지원단 가운데 경상북도 대표 대학들과 함께 처음으로 외국인 유학생 감염병 관리 사업을 시작하게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “이번 협력을 계기로 외국인 유학생 대상 감염병 예방 교육이 전국적인 모델로 확산되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

박정훈 선린대학교 국제교류교육센터장은 “유학생을 위한 감염병 예방·관리 프로그램이 시행되면 학생들의 건강을 사전에 보호하고 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 유학 생활을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “각 기관과 협력해 감염병 예방 교육 자료를 공유하고 학교 차원의 홍보물 제작에도 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

세 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 감염병 예방 교육과 홍보를 강화하고 관련 자료와 정보를 공유해 체계적인 감염병 대응 시스템을 구축할 계획이다. 또한 RISE 사업과 연계해 외국인 유학생의 안전한 유학 환경 조성과 건강한 캠퍼스 문화 조성에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Sunlin University Establishes Cooperation System for Infectious Disease Prevention Among International Students

Sunlin University’s Center for International Exchange and Education announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Infectious Disease Control Support Group at Dongguk University’s WISE Campus on March 12 as part of the RISE project. Park Jeong-hun, Director of the Center for International Exchange and Education at Sunlin University, said, “We expect that the implementation of infectious disease prevention and management programs for international students will protect students’ health in advance and support a safer and more pleasant study abroad experience.” He further stated, “We will cooperate with each institution to share educational materials on infectious disease prevention and actively support the production of promotional materials at the university level.”

Through this agreement, the three institutions plan to strengthen infectious disease prevention education and promotion for international students and establish a systematic infectious disease response system by sharing relevant data and information. Furthermore, in conjunction with the RISE project, it is expected to contribute to creating a safe study environment and a healthy campus culture for international students.
