이재명 대통령이 17일 검찰개혁을 둘러싼 여권 내 파열음 관련해 "당정 협의안 중 특사경에 대한 지휘 조항·수사 진행 중 검사 관여 여지가 있는 조항도 삭제토록 정부에 지시했다”고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 엑스(X·구 트위터)를 통해 “당정 협의로 만든 협의안은 검찰 수사 배제에 필요한 범위 내라면 당정 협의를 통해 10번이라도 수정 가능하다”며 이같이 적었다.
그러면서 “수사·기소 분리·검찰 수사 배제는 분명한 국정과제로 확고히 추진한다”며 "다만 어떤 이유든 개혁에 장애를 가져오는 불필요한 과잉은 안 된다”고 덧붙였다.
앞서 전날 이 대통령은 검찰개혁안 정부안에 대한 더불어민주당 내 강경파의 법안 수정 요구에 장문의 엑스 글을 통해 "과도한 선명성 경쟁과 긴요하지 않은 조치 때문에 해체돼야 할 기득 세력이 반격 명분과 재결집 기회를 갖게 할 필요가 없다"고 주장한 바 있다.
