이재명 대통령이 17일 “현재 같은 양상이면 잠시 진정된 석유 가격이 다시 불안정해지고, 민생 전반 충격도 커지게 될 것 같다”고 전했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 세종시 정부세종청사에서 열린 제10회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 “중동 상황이 당초 예상을 뛰어넘는 방향으로 확대되고 있다”며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 “에너지 절약을 위한 노력의 범사회적 확산을 위해 자동차 5·10부제 등 다각도 수요 절감 대책을 조기 수립하기 바란다”며 “이제 상황 장기화를 전제로 최악 시나리오를 염두에 둔 대책을 마련해야 할 듯하다”고 했다.
또 “UAE(아랍에미리트)에서 추가 원유를 확보했던 것처럼 외교 역량을 총동원해 추가 공급 발굴에 총력을 기울여야 한다”며 “상황이 어려운 만큼 국민 이해·동참도 필요하며 필요 시 수출 통제 검토와 원자력발전소 가동을 늘리는 등 비상 대책을 강구해야 한다”고 했다.
이어 “원래 위기상황 발생 시 그 속에서 이익 보는 집단도 있고 악용해 부당 이익을 취하는 경우도 있으나 대체로 많은 국민은 더 어려움에 취하게 된다”며 "미·이스라엘 대 이란 전쟁 발발 후 취약계층·서민 삶이 더 팍팍해지고 있어 전쟁 추경을 신속 편성해 달라"고 주문했다.
더불어 “정청래 대표가 예산 심의를 사상 최고 속도로 심의한다 했는데 국회도 최대한 빨리 심사하고 전쟁 예산·추경이 신속 집행될 수 있도록 다각도로 노력해달라”고 했다.
