세종특별자치시가 조직개편 이후 변화된 행정 환경에 맞춰 17일 시청에서 ‘의료·요양 통합돌봄’ 사업 관련 교육을 진행하며 본격적인 사업 시행 준비에 나섰다.
이번 교육은 오는 27일 본사업 개시를 앞두고 읍·면·동 실무 관계자들의 현장 대응 역량을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
의료·요양 통합돌봄은 도움이 필요한 노인이나 장애인이 자신이 살던 곳에서 보건의료와 요양 서비스를 통합적으로 받을 수 있도록 지원하는 지역 중심의 복지 정책이다.
세종시는 지난해 8월 시범사업을 통해 정책의 실효성을 점검했으며, 이를 바탕으로 이달 말부터 본격적인 시행에 들어간다.
특히 세종시는 사업의 전문성을 강화하기 위해 지난 11일 ‘돌봄건강과 통합돌봄팀’을 신설하는 조직개편을 단행했다.
신설된 전담팀은 지역 통합돌봄 정책의 총괄 컨트롤타워 역할을 맡아 대상자 발굴부터 보건·의료 연계, 퇴원 환자의 지역사회 복귀 지원, 생애 말기 환자 케어까지 폭넓은 업무를 수행할 계획이다.
이날 교육에서는 기존 시범사업 단계에서 도출된 개선 사항과 본사업에서의 차이점을 집중적으로 다뤘다. 실무진은 읍·면·동 현장에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 사례를 공유하며 사업 전반에 대한 이해도를 높이는 시간을 가졌다.
