19일 춘천시에 따르면, 시는 공지천부터 중도선착장까지 길게 이어지는 2km 구간 산책로 일대에 다채로운 조명과 경관시설을 설치하는 ‘공지천 일원 야간경관 강화사업’을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다. 총사업비는 약 19억 원이 대거 투입된다.
이번 사업은 구간별로 단계적으로 꼼꼼하게 추진된다. 특히 봄철 상춘객이 몰리는 꽃놀이 시기에 발맞춰, 배수펌프장 방류구부터 문화광장숲 입구까지 이어지는 750m 구간은 오는 4월 중순 조기 준공을 목표로 박차를 가하고 있다. 이어 공지천 입구부터 중도주민선착장까지의 나머지 1.25km 구간은 올해 안으로 마무리 지어, 공지천 일대를 아우르는 거대한 ‘야간경관 벨트’를 완성할 계획이다.
