윤건영 교육감은 “물은 생명의 시작이자 우리의 삶을 지속가능하게 만드는 소중한 자산”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 환경보호 활동에 참여하며 다음 세대를 위한 건강한 환경을 지켜 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
한편, 충북교육청은 2017년부터 세계 물의 날을 맞아 하천 환경정화 활동을 매년 실시하며 물 환경 보호와 지역사회 환경 보전 활동을 이어오고 있다.
