(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 20일, 올해부터 기존 중·대형 가전에 한정되었던 폐가전 무상수거 서비스를 소형 가전을 포함한 전 품목으로 확대 시행한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 일반 가정에서 발생하는 폐가전 배출이 한층 편리해질 전망으로 그동안 가정에서 배출되는 폐가전 무상수거 서비스는 세탁기·냉장고 등 중·대형 가전 50종에 한정돼 운영돼 왔다.
그러나 정부의 ‘폐가전 회수·재활용 전 품목 의무부여 제도’ 시행으로 올해부터는 산업기기, 군수품, 의료기기 등을 제외한 대부분의 전기·전자제품으로 대상이 확대됐다.
의류관리기, 휴대용 선풍기, 보조배터리, 전기면도기 등 소형 가전을 포함한 다양한 제품도 무료로 배출할 수 있게 됐다.
기존 냉장고·세탁기 등 12kg 이상 대형 폐가전은 1개만 버리더라도, 중·소형 폐가전은 5개 이상 모아 배출하면 전화(1599-0903), 누리집(15990903.or.kr), 전용 앱‘폐전자제품 모두비움’을 통해 무상 방문수거가 가능했다.
