먼저 군은 3월 20일 옥천 명가 웨딩홀에서 열린 ‘2026년 대청호 유역 하천감시단 발대식’에 참석해 금강 수질보전과 하천 생태계 보호를 위한 본격적인 활동의 시작을 알렸다.
이번 발대식은 (사)대청호보전운동본부가 주최하고 대청호유역하천센터가 주관했으며, 관련 기관 및 환경단체, 하천감시단 등 약 100여 명이 참석했다.

김성근 회장은 “세계 물의 날을 맞아 군민들이 이용하는 공간을 깨끗하게 가꾸고 물 환경보전의 의미를 되새기는 뜻깊은 시간이었다”고 말했다.
