경기도의회 도시환경위원회 유영일 부위원장(국민의힘, 안양5)이 에너지기술 인력양성사업 재정지원 계획을 점검하며 전문 인력 양성의 중요성을 강조했다.
유 부위원장은 지난 3월 16일 경기도의회 안양상담소에서 경기도 기후환경에너지국 관계자로부터 ‘에너지기술공유대학 인력양성사업’ 재정지원 계획에 대한 보고를 받았다.
이날 보고에서는 태양광, 풍력, 수소 등 신재생에너지 산업의 시장 확대에 따라 고급 인재 수요가 증가하고 있는 상황에서, 교육기관과 수요기업 간 연계를 통한 실무 중심 인력 양성 필요성이 제시됐다.
또한 빠르게 변화하는 에너지 산업 환경에 대응하기 위해 단일 기관 중심 연구를 넘어 다양한 연구기관 간 협력과 컨소시엄 구축이 필요하다는 점도 강조됐다.
유영일 부위원장은 “탄소중립과 에너지 전환은 선택이 아닌 필수 과제”라며 “신재생에너지 분야 전문 인력 양성과 기술 협력이 더욱 중요해지고 있는 만큼, 교육기관과 산업 현장이 긴밀히 협력해 미래 에너지 산업을 이끌 인재를 체계적으로 육성해야 한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “도민들도 탄소 절감과 에너지 전환의 중요성을 체감할 수 있도록 관련 교육과 정책이 지속적으로 확대되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
