안동 토박이로서 묵묵히 예술적 토양을 일궈온 소리꾼 강진량이 대한민국을 대표하는 리더로 우뚝 섰다.
강진량 씨는 지난 20일 오후 2시, 서울 한국프레스센터에서 개최된 ‘2026 대한민국 파워리더대상’ 시상식에서 전통 국악 계승과 지역 문화 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 수상의 영예를 안았다.

이번 수상은 판소리의 불모지나 다름없는 환경 속에서도 10년 넘게 외길을 걸어온 한 예술가의 집념이 맺은 값진 결실이다.
강 씨의 소리 인생은 어린 시절 할머니가 흥얼거리시던 ‘정선 아리랑’의 아련한 기억에서 시작됐다.
이후 국가무형문화재 판소리 수궁가 예능보유자 후보인 정옥향 명창의 ‘진도 아리랑’ 중 문경새재 대목을 접하며 운명처럼 판소리에 입문하게 되었다.
그러나 안동 토박이인 그녀에게 남도 소리의 성음을 얻는 과정은 고난의 연속이었다.
