경주시는 24일 야간과 주말, 방학, 긴급상황까지 아우르는 ‘완전돌봄·가족친화’ 분야 6개 사업을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 기존의 단편적 지원을 넘어 다양한 상황에 대응할 수 있는 촘촘한 돌봄 인프라를 구축하는 데 중점을 뒀다.
주요 사업은 △달빛어린이병원 운영 지원 △우리동네 초등방학 돌봄터 △아픈아이 긴급돌봄센터 △K-보듬6000 운영 △온가족보듬사업 △웰컴키즈존 놀이시설 설치 지원사업 등이다.
‘달빛어린이병원’은 황성동 소재 한빛아동병원이 지난해 9월 경북 제1호로 지정돼 평일 야간과 휴일에도 소아 진료가 가능하도록 의료체계를 보완하는 사업으로, 돌봄 공백을 줄이는 데 기여하고 있다.
‘우리동네 초등방학 돌봄터’는 관내 어린이집 유휴공간을 활용해 방학 기간 초등학교 저학년을 대상으로 돌봄 서비스를 제공하며 맞벌이 가정의 양육 부담을 덜어준다.
오는 10월 개소 예정인 ‘아픈아이 긴급돌봄센터’는 자녀가 갑자기 아플 경우 병원 동행과 병상 돌봄을 지원하는 사업으로, 긴급 상황 대응에 초점을 맞췄다.
‘K-보듬6000’은 건천어린이집과 다함께돌봄센터를 활용해 평일 저녁과 주말까지 확대된 돌봄 서비스를 제공하는 경주형 공공돌봄 모델로, 외동읍과 황성동에 추가 개소가 예정돼 있다.
이와 함께 ‘온가족보듬사업’은 다문화가족과 취약가족을 대상으로 교육, 상담, 사례관리를 통해 가족 기능 회복과 정서적 지원을 강화하고, ‘웰컴키즈존 놀이시설 설치 지원사업’은 아이 동반 가족이 편하게 이용할 수 있는 외식 환경 조성에 기여할 전망이다.
경주시는 이번 6대 사업 추진을 통해 돌봄 사각지대를 최소화하고, 아이 키우기 좋은 도시 환경 조성에 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.
윤철용 경주시 시민복지국장은 “맞벌이 가정과 취약가정의 돌봄 부담을 실질적으로 덜어주는 것이 중요하다”며 “아이를 안심하고 맡길 수 있는 촘촘한 돌봄체계를 지속적으로 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

‘K-Bodeum 6000’ is a Gyeongju-style public care model that utilizes Geoncheon Daycare Center and the Dahamkke Care Center to provide expanded care services covering weekday evenings and weekends; additional centers are scheduled to open in Oedong-eup and Hwangseong-dong. In addition, the ‘Whole Family Embrace Project’ is expected to strengthen emotional support and restore family functions for multicultural and vulnerable families through education, counseling, and case management, while the ‘Welcome Kids Zone Play Facility Installation Support Project’ is projected to contribute to creating a dining environment where families with children can comfortably use facilities.
Gyeongju City plans to focus its administrative efforts on minimizing blind spots in childcare and creating a city environment conducive to raising children through the implementation of these six major projects.
