가평 조종면, 취약계층 학생들에 '새 출발 응원권' 쏜다… 1대1 밀착 케어 '눈길'

<브레이크뉴스 가평 = 이용하 기자> 가평군 조종면이 새 학기를 맞은 지역 내 취약계층 학생들의 힘찬 발걸음을 든든하게 응원하는 키다리 아저씨로 나섰다.

조종면 지역사회보장협의체(이하 지사협)는 지난 23일 읍면맞춤형활성화지원사업의 일환으로 관내 저소득층 초중고교생을 위한 '새출발 응원권 지원사업'을 전격 추진했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 단순히 일회성 물품을 쥐여주는 방식에서 과감히 탈피해 눈길을 끈다. 지사협 위원들은 깐깐하게 선정된 취약계층 19가구와 직접 '1대1 결연'을 맺고 문화상품권을 전달했다. 특히 각 가구를 방문해 생활 실태를 꼼꼼하게 파악하고, 향후 필요한 복지서비스를 추가로 엮어주는 '밀착형 핀셋 지원'으로 사업의 실효성을 한층 끌어올릴 계획이다.

이현숙 지사협 위원장은 "어려운 환경 속에 있는 우리 아이들이 조금이라도 더 나은 여건에서 학업의 꿈을 이어갈 수 있도록 작게나마 힘을 보탤 수 있어 가슴이 벅차다"며 "앞으로도 주민들의 다양한 복지 갈증을 해소할 수 있도록 지원의 폭을 넓혀가며 최선을 다하겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.

임진섭 조종면장 역시 "보이지 않는 곳에서 지역사회를 위해 묵묵히 땀 흘리는 협의체 위원들의 헌신에 깊이 감사드린다"며 "앞으로도 끈끈한 민관 협력을 바탕으로 복지 사각지대를 빈틈없이 메우고, 온기가 도는 조종면을 만들어 나가는 데 총력을 기울이겠다"고 화답했다.
