군은 지난 4일 음성군청 군수 집무실에서 관내 5개 새마을금고와 ‘지방보조금 전용계좌’ 업무협약을 체결한 데 이어, 지난 23일 관내 4개 신협(음성·금왕·삼성대소·매괴)과도 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약으로 음성군 보조사업자는 군 금고인 농협과 새마을금고뿐만 아니라 신협에서도 지방보조금 전용계좌를 개설하고 관련 업무를 처리할 수 있게 됐다.
이에 따라 보조 사업자가 원하는 금융기관을 선택해 전용 계좌를 개설할 수 있어, 계좌 개설을 위해 겪어야 했던 이동·대기 등의 불편도 한층 줄어들 전망이다.
그동안 지방보조금 전용계좌 개설이 군 금고로 한정돼 일부 보조사업자들이 계좌 개설과 금융기관 이용 과정에서 제약을 겪어 왔다. 군은 최근 ‘지방보조금 관리기준’ 개정에 따라 군 금고 외 금융기관으로 전용계좌 개설 범위를 확대할 수 있게 됨에 따라, 행정안전부 지침에 근거해 관내 금융기관과의 협약을 확대했다.
군은 이번 조치를 통해 계좌 개설부터 집행까지의 절차 접근성을 높여 보조사업자 부담을 완화하고, 보조금 집행에 필요한 업무 처리도 보다 원활해질 것으로 보고 있다.
