이와 함께 화물차 후방추돌 사고 예방과 졸음운전 방지를 위해 후부반사판 부착 및 생수 배부 등 운전자 대상 계도 활동도 병행했다.
임종택 한국도로공사 충북본부장은 “화물차 사고는 한 번 발생하면 피해 규모가 큰 만큼, 평소 차량 점검과 안전기준 준수가 무엇보다 중요하다”며, “앞으로도 유관기관과 협력해 불법운행을 줄이고 교통사고 예방에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
