이재명 대통령이 25일 '이재명 조폭연루설'을 최초 보도한 SBS 시사프로그램 '그것이 알고싶다(그알)' 관련해 “악의적 조작보도로 주권자 결단을 비트는 건 민주공화정을 부정하는 행위”라고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 엑스(X·구 트위터)에 SBS 시청자 게시판 게시물 캡처 사진을 공유하며 “주권자의 국민 주권을 탈취하는 선거 방해·민주주의 파괴라는데 심각성이 있다”며 이같이 적었다.
이 대통령은 자신의 '조폭연루설' 관련해 거듭 언론 사과를 요구 중인 가운데 SBS 노조가 '언론 독립 침해' 이유로 크게 반발하자 언론 자유·권리만큼 책임·의무를 져야 한다고 재반박한 바 있다. 앞서 지난 19일 청와대의 관련 보도 청구권 행사 공표도 있었다.

한편 이 대통령의 이같은 언론을 향한 거듭된 공개 사과 요구 관련해 국민의힘 이종배 서울시의원은 강요죄·직권남용죄 등 혐의로 지난 23일 서울경찰청에 이 대통령을 고발 후 "이 대통령이 SBS에 공개적 사과를 요구한 건 권력을 이용해 사과를 강요한 것에 해당할 수 있고, 위력으로 방송사 업무를 방해한 것에 해당할 수 있다"고 밝힌 바 있다.
