군포시가 봄의 정취를 만끽할 수 있는 대표 축제, ‘제12회 군포철쭉축제’를 오는 4월 18일부터 26일까지 9일간 철쭉동산과 철쭉공원 일원에서 연다.
군포철쭉축제는 도심 속에서 화사하게 피어난 철쭉을 배경으로 공연과 체험, 먹거리를 함께 즐길 수 있는 봄꽃 축제로, 해마다 시민과 방문객의 발길이 이어지는 지역 대표 행사다.
축제 첫 주말인 4월 18일 0시부터 19일 오후 10시까지는 8단지사거리에서 소방서사거리 구간이 ‘차 없는 거리’로 운영된다. 18일 오후 7시에는 특설무대에서 개막식이 열려 축제의 시작을 알린다.
