<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시가 급변하는 농업 환경을 주도할 전문 농업인 양성을 위해 ‘2026학년도 포천시환경농업대학(22기) 및 대학원(9기) 입학식’을 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.
지난 24일 포천시농업기술센터 대강당에서 열린 입학식에는 신입생과 내빈 등 100여 명이 참석해 포천 농업의 미래를 밝힐 새로운 출발을 축하했다. 행사는 입학허가 선언과 신입생 선서를 시작으로 교수 위촉장 수여, 환영사 등으로 다채롭게 꾸며졌다. 이어 진행된 오리엔테이션에서는 전반적인 학사 안내와 함께 첨단 과학영농시설 견학이 진행되어 신입생들의 학구열을 한층 고취시켰다.

올해 포천시환경농업대학과 대학원은 ‘탐구하는 지성, 창조하는 노력, 도약하는 농업’이라는 교훈 아래, 지역 농업의 경쟁력을 한 단계 끌어올릴 시민과 농업인 80명을 대상으로 본격적인 학사 일정에 돌입한다.

교육 과정은 철저히 실무와 최신 농업 트렌드에 맞춰 편성됐다. 대학 과정은 ‘농촌융복합산업과’와 ‘스마트농업과’ 2개 학과로 나뉘어 체험·치유농장 운영, 작목별 재배기술 및 병해충 관리 등 현장 밀착형 교육을 제공한다. 또한, 대학원 과정인 ‘농업비즈니스전공’에서는 농업 경영, 브랜드 개발, 마케팅 전략 등 한층 심화된 전문 교육이 이루어질 예정이다.
