안문상 아열대작물연구회 회장은 “지난해 시설하우스에서 감귤과 레드향을 처음 수확해 옥천로컬푸드직매장에 판매하는 성과를 거뒀다”며 “아열대작물 재배가 확대되는 만큼 교육을 통해 부족한 재배기술을 보완하고, 농장에 적용해 고품질 농산물 생산에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
옥천군농업기술센터 관계자는 “앞으로도 현장 중심 교육을 지속적으로 추진해 아열대과수 분야의 지역 전문가를 양성하도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
