다음달 4일부터 지방자치단체장 및 교육감의 각종 행사 개최·후원이 금지된다.정당·후보자 명의의 여론조사도 할 수 없게 된다.
25일 대전·세종·충남선거관리위원회는 6월3일 치러지는 지방선거를 앞두고 선거 60일 전인 다음달 4일부터 제한·금지되는 행위를 예고했다.
지방자치단체장 및 교육감과 그 소속 공무원은 선거일 전 60일부터 교양강좌, 사업설명회, 공청회, 직능단체모임, 체육대회, 경로행사, 민원상담 기타 각종 행사를 개최하거나 후원할 수 없고, 통·리·반장의 회의에 참석할 수 없다.
그러나 ▲법령에 의하여 행사를 개최·후원하는 행위, ▲특정일·특정시기가 아니면 그 목적을 달성할 수 없는 행사를 개최·후원하는 행위, ▲천재·지변 기타 재해의 구호·복구를 위한 행위, ▲직업지원교육 및 유상으로 실시하는 교양강좌나 주민자치센터가 개최하는 교양강좌를 후원하는 행위, ▲집단민원 또는 긴급한 민원을 해결하기 위한 행위 등은 가능하다.
지방자치단체장은 선거일 전 60일부터 ▲정당의 정강·정책과 주의·주장을 홍보·선전하거나, ▲정당이 개최하는 일체의 정치행사에 참석하거나, ▲선거대책기구, 선거사무소, 선거연락소를 방문할 수 없다.
지자체장이 창당·합당·개편대회 및 후보자선출대회에 참석하거나, 소속 정당이 당원만을 대상으로 개최하는 정당의 공개행사에 당원으로서 의례적으로 방문하는 것은 가능하다.
