더불어민주당 김종천 대전 서구청장 예비후보가 급변하는 노동 시장의 소외 계층인 플랫폼 노동자를 위한 포용적 복지 정책을 내놨다.
김 후보는 서구를 ‘플랫폼 노동자 보호 선도도시’로 명명하고, 지방정부 차원의 선제적 대응을 통해 민생 행정의 새로운 표준을 제시하겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.
김 후보는 배달 라이더와 대리운전 기사 등 플랫폼 노동이 우리 일상의 필수적인 일자리로 자리 잡았음에도 불구하고, 여전히 고용 불안정과 안전망 부재라는 열악한 환경에 놓여 있다고 지적했다.

또한, 공공플랫폼의 역할을 확대해 공공배달앱 기능을 강화하고 공공 중개 플랫폼 시범사업을 통해 시장의 공정성을 확보하겠다는 구상도 포함됐다.
마지막으로 기업과의 갈등 구조를 넘어선 협력 기반 정책을 추진한다. 플랫폼 기업과 정기적인 협약 체계를 구축하고 노동자 보호를 위한 표준 가이드라인을 마련해 상생할 수 있는 모델을 정립한다는 방침이다.
