한·일 청년예술가 교류음악회...부산서 ‘파도에 스미는 전통의 선율'

[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 한·일 양국의 젊은 예술가들이 바닷길로 이어진 역사적 정서를 담아 하나의 무대에 오른다.

국립부산국악원은 내달 8일 오후 7시 30분 예지당에서 일본 민주음악협회(MIN-ON)와 공동으로 한·일 청년 예술가 교류 음악회를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 이번 공연은 2026년 한·중·일 문화교류의 해를 마무리하는 뜻깊은 자리로 마련됐다.

이번 무대는 지난 2024년 한국 공연을 시작으로 2025년 일본 초청 공연 등 2년간 지속해 온 양국 예술가들의 교류가 결실을 보는 자리다. ‘파도에 스미는 전통의 선율’이라는 소제목 아래 조선통신사의 역사적 의미를 현대적인 음악적 흐름으로 재해석할 예정이다.

공연 전반부에는 한국의 깊은 멋을 느낄 수 있는 대금 독주 청성자진한잎, 지영희류 해금산조, 판소리 심청가 중 심청이 물에 빠지는 대목이 연주된다. 이어 일본의 지역적 특색을 담은 미야기현, 츠가루, 토야마현의 민요와 샤미센, 고토 연주가 이어진다.

공연의 대미는 양국 예술가들의 합동 무대가 장식한다. 돈판부시, 교 도오지, 아리랑 연곡 등을 통해 한·일 민요가 어우러지며 바다를 사이에 둔 두 나라의 화합과 공감을 전할 계획이다.

이번 공연에는 국립부산국악원 이진희 악장을 비롯해 허유진(대금), 한수지(해금), 신진원(판소리), 전성호(타악) 등 한국 연주자들과 아사노 쇼(샤미센), 혼마 다카시(25현 고토), 히라타 리코(와다이코) 등 일본의 실력파 청년 예술가 8인이 출연한다.

Joint Exchange Concert to be Held April 8th at National Busan Gugak Center

Young artists from South Korea and Japan are set to take the stage together to celebrate their shared maritime history and cultural heritage through traditional music.

The National Busan Gugak Center (Director Lee Jeong-yeop) announced that it will host a Korea-Japan Youth Exchange Concert in collaboration with the Min-On Concert Association of Japan. The performance is scheduled for April 8th at 7:30 PM at the Yeajidang Hall.

This concert marks the culmination of a two-year cultural exchange program. The initiative began in 2024 with performances in Seoul, Namwon, and Busan, followed by a 2025 tour where members of the National Busan Gugak Center performed in Tokyo and Osaka at the invitation of Min-On.

Under the sub-theme "Traditional Melodies Soaked in Waves," the program draws inspiration from the historic sea routes used by the Joseon Tongsinsa (goodwill missions). It aims to weave the musical traditions and historical sentiments of both nations into a single, fluid narrative.

The repertoire features deep reflections of Korean tradition, including the daegeum solo *Cheongseong Jajinhanip*, the haegeum solo *Ji Yeong-hui Style Sanjo*, and the dramatic "Sim Cheong Jumping into the Sea" scene from the pansori *Simcheongga*. The Japanese segment will showcase regional folk songs and instrumental pieces from Miyagi, Tsugaru, and Toyama, such as *Komebushi* and *Tsugaru Jongarabushi*.

The highlight of the evening will be a collaborative finale. Using pieces like *Donpanbushi*, *Gyo Doji*, and a specially arranged *Arirang Medley*, the young artists will blend the folk songs of both countries to symbolize harmony and mutual understanding across the sea.

The performance features eight talented young musicians, including Lee Jin-hui, Heo Yu-jin, Han Su-ji, Shin Jin-won, and Jeon Seong-ho from Korea, alongside Japanese artists Asano Sho (Shamisen), Honma Takashi (25-string Koto), and Hirata Riko (Wadaiko).
