노인대학은 지난 25일 단양노인복지관 강당에서 김경희 단양부군수와 이덕흥 대한노인회 단양군지회장, 전병우 노인대학장과 신입생 46명 등 70여 명이 참석한 가운데 입학식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 입학식에서는 제40기 학생회장에 이동근 씨, 총무에 정두남 씨가 각각 선출되며 본격적인 학사 운영에 들어갔다.
노인대학은 3월부터 11월까지 매월 둘째 주와 넷째 주 수요일에 교양 강의와 건강·여가 프로그램을 운영하고, 연 2회 주요 유적지 방문 등 현장 체험 프로그램을 통해 어르신들의 문화 향유와 사회참여 기회를 확대할 계획이다.
김경희 단양부군수는 축사를 통해 “새로운 시작의 설렘을 오래 간직하시고 배움의 과정 속에서 더 많은 웃음과 행복을 누리시길 바란다”며 “앞으로의 여정이 보람과 성취로 가득하길 응원한다”고 말했다.
