【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북대학교 국제교류본부는 지난 3월 24일(화)부터 3월 25일(수)까지 우즈베키스탄 타슈켄트에 위치한 이공계 엘리트 양성기관인 TSTU 리시움과 TATU 리시움을 각각 방문해 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 우수 외국인 유학생 유치 및 국제교류 협력 기반 강화에 나섰다.
이번 협약식에는 충북대 국제교류본부의 옥광 국제교류본부장, 나스리디노프 아지즈 부본부장 등이 참석했으며, TSTU 리시움에서는 Yakubova Muxojora 교장, TATU 리시움에서는 Abdiyev Nosir Raximovich 교장이 각각 기관 대표로 참여했다.
TSTU 리시움은 타슈켄트국립기술대학교 부속 교육기관으로 한국의 과학고등학교와 유사한 성격의 이공계 특화 교육기관이며, TATU 리시움은 타슈켄트정보통신대학교 부속 기관으로 정보통신 분야 우수 인재 양성을 목표로 하는 특성화 학교다.
충북대는 이번 협약을 통해 현지 우수 학생들과의 접점을 확대하고, 학부 유학 연계 프로그램을 강화함으로써 외국인 유학생 유치 기반을 한층 공고히 할 계획이다.
아울러 양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 상호 신뢰를 바탕으로 교육 및 문화 분야에서의 장기적 협력관계를 구축하기로 했으며, 주요 협력 내용으로는 △학생 교환 프로그램 및 유학 기회 제공 △교직원 교류 △교육회의 및 세미나 공동 개최 △문화체험 프로그램 운영 △교육자료 및 정보 교류 등이 포함된다. 또한 향후 구체적인 사업 추진을 위한 실무 협의를 지속적으로 이어갈 예정이다.
이를 통해 충북대는 우즈베키스탄 내 우수 교육기관과의 협력을 더욱 확대하고, 외국인 유학생 유치 활성화와 대학의 국제화 역량 강화를 위한 실질적 협력사업을 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 방침이다.

Chungbuk National University Headquarters for International Exchange Signs Agreements with Specialized Science and Engineering Institutions in Uzbekistan
From March 24 (Tue) to March 25 (Wed), the Headquarters for International Exchange at Chungbuk National University visited TSTU Lyceum and TATU Lyceum, elite science and engineering training institutions located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, respectively, to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
