32개국 34개 공관서 6개월 실무… 항공료·체재비 전액 국비 지원
27일부터 내달 17일까지 접수, 대전 소재 대학생·졸업생 대상
대전시가 지역 청년들에게 전 세계를 무대로 실무 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 특별한 기회를 제공한다. 시는 글로벌 역량 강화와 지방외교 활성화를 위해 ‘지방청년인재 재외공관 파견사업’ 참여자를 모집한다고 27일 밝혔다.
외교부가 주관하는 이번 사업은 선발된 청년 인재를 전 세계 32개국 34개 재외공관에 파견해 현장 실무를 경험하게 하는 프로그램이다. 대전시는 자체 심사를 통해 총 5명의 우수 인재를 선발해 외교부에 최종 추천할 계획이다.
선발된 청년들은 오는 7월부터 12월까지 6개월간 해외 현지에서 근무하게 된다. 주요 임무는 지방소멸 대응 정책제안 연구보고서 작성 ,지자체 국제교류 활동 지원 ,외교 현장 실무 보조 등이다.
가장 큰 장점은 경제적 부담이 없다는 점이다. 파견에 필요한 왕복 항공료를 비롯해 현지 체재비, 의료지원비 등 제반 비용이 전액 국비로 지원되어 청년들이 오로지 실무와 연구에만 집중할 수 있는 환경을 제공한다.
지원 자격은 공고일 현재 대전시 소재 대학교의 재학생 또는 졸업생(만 19세~34세 이하)이다. 세부 요건으로는 토익 700점 이상(또는 이에 상응하는 어학 성적) ,학점 100점 만점 기준 80점 이상을 충족해야 한다.
참여를 희망하는 청년은 4월 17일까지 신청하면 된다.
대전시는 서류 및 면접 등 자체 심사를 거쳐 추천 대상자를 가린 뒤, 외교부의 최종 확인 절차를 거쳐 합격자를 확정할 예정이다.
대전시 관계자는 “지역의 유능한 청년들이 국제무대에서 실무 역량을 키우고 대전의 지방외교 경쟁력을 높이는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.

Daejeon City is providing local youth with a special opportunity to gain practical experience on a global stage. The city announced on the 27th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘Local Youth Talent Overseas Mission Dispatch Program’ to strengthen global capabilities and revitalize local diplomacy.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this program dispatches selected youth talents to 34 overseas missions in 32 countries around the world to gain practical on-site experience. Daejeon City plans to select a total of five outstanding individuals through its own screening process and make final recommendations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The selected youths will work overseas for six months, from this coming July to December. Young people wishing to participate should apply by April 17.
Daejeon City plans to select recommended candidates through an internal screening process including document review and interviews, and then finalize the successful applicants following a final verification procedure by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
