대전 서구, 4km 규모 도안 무장애나눔길 준공

대전 서구 도안동 일대에 보행 약자도 제약 없이 숲의 정취를 느낄 수 있는 특별한 산책로가 열렸다. 서구는 27일 도안동 1370번지 일원에서 ‘도안 무장애나눔길’ 준공식을 개최하고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.

이번에 조성된 ‘도안 무장애나눔길’은 대전 가원학교에서 도안중학교까지 이어지는 구간으로, 총 4km 규모에 달한다. 휠체어나 유모차도 막힘없이 이동할 수 있도록 완만한 경사의 데크 로드와 마사토 길로 구성한 것이 특징이다.

특히 단순한 산책로를 넘어 스카이워크와 데크 광장, 야간 조명 시설 등 다채로운 편의시설을 갖춰 보행 약자는 물론 인근 주민들이 안전하고 즐겁게 머무를 수 있는 복합 산림 휴양 공간으로 설계됐다.

준공식은 제81회 식목일 기념행사와 연계해 더욱 뜻깊게 진행됐다. 행사에는 유관기관 관계자와 지역 주민 등 300여 명이 참석해 산림 복지의 시작을 축하했다. 참석자들은 기념식수와 더불어 산철쭉 등 묘목 4종, 총 2,000여 본을 직접 심으며 도심 속 녹색 생태계 조성에 힘을 보탰다.

서구는 이번 무장애나눔길 조성이 주민들의 여가 생활의 질을 높이고 건강 증진에 크게 기여할 것으로 내다보고 있다.
