충남 서산시가 최근 발생한 대전 자동차 부품 공장 화재 사고를 계기로 관내 산업단지의 화재 예방 체계를 대폭 강화하고 나섰다.
이를 위해 서산시는 산업단지 내 절삭유 및 위험물질을 사용하는 업체들의 운영 실태를 면밀히 점검하여 유사 사고의 재발을 막고, 입주 기업들의 안전 관리 의식을 고취하기 위해 이번 집중 점검을 추진한다고 밝혔다.
27일, 신필승 서산시 부시장을 반장으로 한 합동 점검반은 서산오토밸리 내 입주 기업인 현대위아를 방문해 현장 점검을 실시했다. 이번 점검에는 시 투자유치과, 기후환경대기과, 원스톱허가과 등 관계 부서와 서산소방서가 참여해 전문성을 높였다.
점검팀은 특히 절삭유 및 위험물질 사용 현황 ,건축물 사용 등 인허가 사항과 실제 운영 현황의 일치 여부 ,화재 취약 요인 등을 집중적으로 확인하며 안전 관리 실태를 파악했다.
서산시는 이번 점검을 통해 발견된 경미한 위반 사항에 대해서는 현장에서 즉시 시정 조치를 요구했다. 반면, 인명 사고나 대형 화재로 이어질 수 있는 중대한 결함이 발견될 경우에는 ‘사용 금지’ 등 강력한 긴급 안전조치를 시행할 방침이다.
