대한민국 국방이 직면한 인력 구조의 한계를 극복하기 위한 정책 대안을 모색하는 자리가 마련된다.
국방대학교 국가안보문제연구소 예비전력연구센터와 사단법인 한국방위산업MICE협회는 오는 3월 31일, 서울 용산 전쟁기념관 이병형 홀에서 ‘국방인력 부족 문제 해소를 위한 상비예비군 제도 발전과 전시 산업동원 실효성 보장방안’ 세미나를 공동 주관하여 개최한다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 세미나는 예비군 창설 58주년을 기념하여 기획되었으며, 병역자원 감소와 인구구조 변화라는 엄중한 현실 속에서 국방인력 운용체계의 실질적인 개선 방향을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다고 국방대는 설명했다.
특히 국방인력 문제를 단순한 병력 감소 차원이 아닌, 상비예비군 제도와 전시 산업동원을 연계한 '총체전력' 과제로 다룬다는 점에서 학계와 군 관계자들의 큰 주목을 받고 있다.
국방대에 따르면 세미나의 주요 의제는 상비예비군 제도의 발전 방향이다.
