【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 맹동면 통동리 일원에 조성된 ‘맹동 치유의 숲’이 오는 4월 1일 개장과 함께 본격적인 시범운영을 시작한다고 밝혔다.
맹동 치유의 숲은 군민의 건강 증진과 심리적 안정을 도모하기 위해 지난 2020년부터 2025년까지 총사업비 50억 원(도비 32억5천만원 포함)을 투입해 맹동저수지와 함박산 일대 총면적 60ha 부지에 군민을 위한 산림휴양 공간으로 조성됐다.
특히 최근 스트레스와 피로 누적으로 ‘쉼’과 ‘치유’의 가치가 더욱 주목받는 상황 속에서, 맹동 치유의 숲은 일상에서 벗어나 자연 속에서 몸과 마음을 회복할 수 있는 공간으로 구성됐다.
이곳에서는 실내외를 아우르는 다양한 산림치유 프로그램이 운영된다. 대표적으로 명상과 스트레칭, 오감 산책 등 숲의 요소를 활용한 프로그램이 마련돼 있으며, 음파 온열기와 편백 온열돔 등 전문 치유 장비를 활용한 체험도 가능하다.
또한 이용 대상도 폭넓게 구성했다. 노인, 갱년기 중년, 임산부 등 세심한 건강 관리가 필요한 군민은 물론, 업무 특성상 높은 긴장과 스트레스에 노출된 소방·경찰·방역 공무원 등 특수 직군을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램을 구성해 다양한 계층을 대상으로 운영할 예정이다.
