대전 대덕구청사 부지에 2,041억 투입, 산업·주거·복지 융합된 ‘복합경제거점’ 조성
첨단 뿌리산업 클러스터 구축과 일자리 창출로 지역 경제 활성화 기대
대전 대덕구 오정동 일대가 첨단 산업과 쾌적한 주거, 탄탄한 복지 인프라가 어우러진 도심 혁신거점으로 새롭게 태어난다.

대전시는 국토교통부가 오정동 500번지 일원을 ‘도시재생혁신지구(국가시범지구)’로 최종 지정·고시함에 따라 사업 추진에 속도를 내겠다고 30일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 낙후된 도심에 활력을 불어넣고 지역 산업의 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 대형 프로젝트다. 대전시는 이전이 예정된 현 대덕구청사 부지(1만 3,702㎡)를 활용해 총사업비 2,041억 원을 투입, 대전도시공사와 공동으로 복합 개발을 진행한다.
오정 혁신지구의 핵심은 ‘융복합’이다. 대전시는 이곳에 첨단 뿌리산업 엔지니어 클러스터를 구축해 지역 산업의 체질을 개선하고, 산업시설과 공동주택, 생활 SOC(사회간접자본), 공영주차장 등을 한데 모은 도심형 복합경제거점을 조성할 계획이다.
