[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시청소년청년재단이 지난 28일 시흥시청소년수련관에서 2026년 제2기 청소년 청년 국제교류단 발대식을 개최했다.
청소년 청년동아리 국제교류 사업은 시흥에서 성장한 지역 청소년과 청년들이 국제 축제에 참가하며 세계 시민 역량을 키울 수 있도록 지원하는 글로벌 프로그램이다.
지난해 1기 교류단은 영국 킹스턴에서 열린 국제청소년 축제 퓨즈 인터네셔널에 참여해 문화예술 및 환경 포럼 활동을 펼쳤으며 영국 청소년 단체와 업무협약을 체결하는 성과를 거두기도 했다.
이번 2기 국제교류단은 시흥시 청소년 동아리 지원 사업에 참여했던 전공생과 전문가 등 총 9명으로 구성됐으며 댄스와 보컬 및 영상 분야에서 전문성을 갖추고 있다.
이들은 3개월간의 준비 과정을 거쳐 오는 6월 26일부터 영국 킹스턴 퓨즈 인터네셔널 축제에서 창작 공연과 버스킹을 선보일 예정이다. 또한 현지 청년 예술 단체인 딜런댄스와 문화예술 교류 활동을 진행한다.
오는 10월에는 영국 측 관계자와 청소년들이 시흥을 방문해 시흥시청소년동아리축제에 참여하고 문화예술 워크숍을 진행하며 지속적인 교류를 이어갈 계획이다.
