(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 3월 23일부터 27일까지 2026년도 제1회 지방공무원 임용시험 원서접수를 진행한 결과, 총 1,537명 선발 예정에 총 6,980명이 지원해 평균 경쟁률 4.5대 1을 기록했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 임용예정기관별 경쟁률은 인천시와 자치군․구는 4.6대 1, 강화군은 2.6대 1로 나타났다.
모집 단위별로는 도시계획 9급이 22대 1로 최고 경쟁률을 기록했으며 인천시와 자치군․구 모집 일반행정(일반) 9급은 511명 선발에 2,874명이 지원해 5.6대 1의 경쟁률을 보였다.
박광근 시 행정국장은“신설 자치구 등 행정수요에 적기 대응하기 위해 전년 대비 899명을 증원해 채용 규모를 대폭 확대했다”며“공정하고 안정적인 시험 운영이 될 수 있도록 철저히 준비하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 올해 필기시험은 6월 20일 인천 시내 중·고등학교에서 실시된다.
시험 장소는 5월 29일 인천광역시 시험정보 누리집과 지방자치단체 인터넷원서접수센터를 통해 공지되며, 필기시험 합격자는 7월 16일 발표된다.
